LEGO is almost 50!

Did you have a LEGO set when you were young? Even, if you don't, I am sure your child has one. LEGO is a household name for years. I used to admire those amazing LEGO creations during the LEGO promotions at the stores. Its amazing what a little creativity can do.

We bought a LEGO DUPLO set for my son for his 4th birthday. LEGO DUPLO is a good start for young toddlers. Its a construction one complete with little men with tiny mobile phones. His 7 year old sister loves it too. It can keep them occupied for hours.... something that every mother enjoys. lol. I certainly enjoy it. I enjoy the peace and quiet that I get when they're stuck with the LEGO DUPLO. Its better than having them in front of the TV for hours. It also keeps them from fighting.... for a while.... until they start fighting for a LEGO DUPLO piece. :)

Another thing that I like are departmental stores with LEGO or LEGO DUPLO play sets at the toy departments. The kids would often rush to the sets leaving me to shop in peace... for a while. There is something about LEGO that attracts them. I love to see their creations. They would build giraffes one moment and apartment blocks the next minute.

Did you know that LEGO DUPLO is almost 50? There is even a LEGO DUPLO blog for lovers of LEGO DUPLO to share their experiences. Do check it out to read LEGO stories, read reviews, find out how to get samples and more. You can even send it pictures of your child playing with the LEGO DUPLO sets for putting up on the blog.

  3. You are right, I didn't have any Lego when I was a kid but my kids do. I didn't even know Lego at that time, hehe...

Do you know that Lego also manufactures shoes beside the toy building bricks?
I bought a pair of Lego shoes for my boy last year. :)
