2015 Year-End Holidays Public Speaking Programme For Tweens And Teens

Are you searching for a school holiday program for your tween or teen? What will it be? Art? Math? The Languages?

If you have been sending your child to school holiday programmes year after year, you may soon run out of ideas when they become tweens or teens. They've likely attended so many story telling, art and craft or science programmes in their younger years that these don't interest them like they used to do.

So, what does a tween or teen like? It is the age of exploration, neither a child nor an adult. What could appeal to a preteen or teenager? For teens, a programme that will nurture and develop their confidence in dealing with peers is a good idea, as this is the age where friendships solidify and personalities build. Communicating well with friends is essential for a growing tween.

In addition, with the KSSR syllabus, more and more school work are becoming project based where kids are required to work together as a team to deliver their ideas to the class. Presentation skills and public speaking is no longer useful only for the working adult. They are relevant from a  young age and are skills that last a lifetime. No matter what age you are, it's always important to be able to speak well.

For a tween or teen, motivational programmes, presentation skills or drama classes can help to bring them out of their shell and build confidence. Give it a go! Your child has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

If you are looking for a public speaking programme for your tween or teen, check out Blubricks Kota Damansara's "Pitch It" programme for 11-17  year olds.
