UPSR 2016 Chinese Paper Format - What's New

I have done the UPSR 2016 analysis for BM, English, Math & Science and left the Chinese paper last because I am Chinese language challenged. My kids study in Chinese school but I am Mandarin illiterate. I know a little from the years of teaching them or helping them with homework using e-dictionaries and free apps but not enough to make a good analysis of the questions. So we'll just take a look at the format in general.

Old UPSR Chinese Paper Format - Pemahaman Paper or Paper 1 is as follows:

Time Allotted: 50 minutes
Marks = 40 marks

Q1-Q30 = Multiple Choice
Q31- Q35 = Passage followed by multiple choice questions
Q36- Q40 = Passage followed by multiple choice questions

New UPSR Chinese Paper Format (2016 onwards) Pemahaman Paper is as follows

Paper is divided into 2 parts ie Part A and Part B

Time Allotted = 1 hour 15 minutes
Marks = 50 marks

Part A (20 marks)
