When is Deepavali school holidays?

 

Sometimes, it is a little bit hard for us to keep track of the public holidays, school holidays, festive holidays, especially now during the pandemic when the dates have to be changed. So let's do a little recap on the next upcoming holidays which is the festive school holidays for Deepavali. 

According to the Lampiran C obtained from this page of the "Takwim Persekolahan" as announced by the Ministry of Education, Deepavali falls on Thursday 4th November 2021. 

Below are the Deepavali school holidays for schools in states which observe Friday and Saturday as weekend ie Kumpulan A schools, schools in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. The festive Deepavali school holidays for Kumpulan A schools is from 3rd to 7th November 2021.

Below are the Deepavali school holidays for states which observe Saturday and Sunday as weekend ie Kumpulan B schools, schools in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perlis, Penang, Perak, Putrajaya, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor. The festive Deepavali school holidays for Kumpulan B schools is from 3rd to 7th November 2021. (except Sarawak)
